Minister of Foreign Affairs, Industry and Trade, Høgni Hoydal and Jóhanna Lava Køtlum, CEO of Fiskaaling.
On 3 February, the Faroese Minister of Foreign Affairs, Industry and Trade, Høgni Hoydal, paid a visit to Fiskaaling. The visit to Fiskaaling's headquarter was the minister's first since the general election (for the Faroese Løgting) in December 2022.
The minister was welcomed by Jóhanna Lava Køtlum, CEO of Fiskaaling, Kristoffur Laksá, the Board Chairman, and other employees. Jóhanna Lava Køtlum briefed the minister about the research activities and projects at Fiskaaling. Furthermore, she informed him about Fiskaaling's primary objective, which is to produce knowledge to ensure a sustainable aquaculture industry in the Faroes.
Accompanying the minister were the permanent secretary, Herálvur Joensen, and Ragnfríð Nord Antoniussen, adviser.
